Job summary

Louisiana Delta Community College is seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to support AP/AR functions within the College’s accounting team. You will assist with processing invoices, deposits, and student payments, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.

The role requires attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to maintain confidential information. Prior experience with Ellucian Banner and a related degree is preferred, with opportunities in a

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; relevant education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, or related function preferred.
• Higher education setting and/or Ellucian Banner experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately enter and process financial transactions and maintain organized records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable transactions, including invoices and payment requests.
• Assist with accounts receivable processing, deposits, and receipts.
• Work with the Accountant to post payments to student accounts and resolve deposit issues.
• Review invoices and documentation for accuracy and approvals.
• Enter financial information in Ellucian Banner and other College systems.
• Assist with account reconciliations and researching discrepancies.
• Maintain organized AP/AR records per retention policies.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments about payments and invoices.
• Assist with vendor maintenance and communication regarding invoices and payments.
• Prepare information for 1099 reporting, audits, and other financial reporting.
