• Follow up on payment commitments and unresolved issues.

We are seeking several Collectors to join our Internal Recovery department. This opportunity is well suited for candidates with call center, customer service, phone sales, or collections experience. till Contract to Hire with opportunity to convert permanent (5 Month).

Position Overview

The Collector will communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, discuss payment options, and follow up on payment commitments. This position combines customer service, negotiation, and account management to help resolve overdue accounts.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, and comfortable navigating challenging conversations. Success requires listening carefully, communicating clearly, and managing multiple accounts while maintaining accurate records and consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls and respond to incoming calls regarding outstanding balances and account status.
• Review account information before contacting customers to understand payment history and previous communications.
• Discuss overdue balances professionally and identify obstacles affecting payment.
• Work with customers to establish payment arrangements within company policies and approval guidelines.
• Clearly communicate agreed-upon payment amounts, dates, and next steps.
• Follow up on payment commitments, missed payments, and unresolved account issues.
• Document customer conversations, account updates, payment arrangements, and follow-up activities accurately.
• Maintain an organized workload and prioritize accounts requiring attention.
• Address customer questions and escape disputes or complex situations to the appropriate team member.
• Coordinate with internal departments to clarify account information and support resolutions.
• Work toward established recovery, productivity, and customer service goals.
• Handle sensitive customer and financial information with discretion.
• Follow company procedures and applicable collection requirements.
