Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Collections Associate to locate, contact, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. The role involves calling or texting customers, reviewing sales terms, posting payments, and maintaining accurate records using our CRM and PQA systems.

This on-site position requires attention to detail, ability to travel to customers' homes when needed, and adherence to company procedures and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Sends text messages and mails notices to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by text or phone to determine reasons for overdue payments and review terms.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers.
• Receives payments and posts amounts to customer accounts.
• Maintains and balances the cash drawer; keeps it secure when unattended.
• Travels to customers’ homes to collect payments and assist with repossessions when approved.
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action against severely delinquent accounts.
• Initiates credit investigations by telephone under direction of the Credit Manager.
• Logs daily, weekly, and monthly work activities.
• Updates CRM and other systems; assists on the sales floor as needed.
• Maintains sales quota as established by Store Manager.
• Follows store operations and customer service standards and upholds HO.M.E values.
