Job summary

WasteFree in Grand Prairie is seeking a Part Time Trash Collection Specialist to join our evenings team. You will use your own pickup truck to collect household trash and recycling in residential communities, document conditions with our Service App, and report issues to the district manager.

This role offers an 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM schedule, $20 per hour, hands-on training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Own a pickup truck and be willing to utilize it for trash collection.
• Smartphone with data plan and ability to use our Service App.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work independently in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Document dumpster/compactor condition on arrival using the Service App.
• Collect household trash and recycling from residential units within assigned communities.
• Document violations with photos and submit them in the Work Log after each shift.
• Track and report issues to the district manager.

Requirements:

• Own a pick-up truck and be willing to utilize it for trash collection.


• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance


• Have a smartphone with a data plan


• Currently employed full-time


• Willingness to learn, receptive to coaching, and ability to follow instructions


• Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic


• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision


• Excellent verbal communication skills


• Ability to work in all weather conditions


• Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs, navigate stairs, and walk distances


• Positive attitude is a must

Responsibilities:

• Upon arrival, document the condition of dumpsters/compactors using our Service App


• Collect household trash and recycling from residential units within assigned multi-family communities


• Document violations and unit numbers by taking photos and submitting them with your Work Log at the end of each shift


• Track and report any issues or concern to your district manager.
