Job summary

WasteFree in Texas is seeking a Part Time Trash Collection Specialist. Shifts are Sunday to Thursday evenings from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM; pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour.

Must have a pick-up truck and be willing to use it for trash collection; a valid driver’s license and smartphone data plan are required. This role offers hands-on training, opportunities for advancement, bonuses, and a supportive mentoring program.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Punctuality, dependability and strong work ethic.
• Capacity to lift up to 50lbs and navigate stairs.

Responsibilities

• Document the condition of dumpsters/compactors upon arrival using the Service App.
• Collect household trash and recycling from residential units within assigned multi-family communities.
• Document violations and unit numbers by taking photos and submitting them with the Work Log at shift end.
• Track and report issues to the district manager.

Requirements

• Own a pick-up truck and be willing to utilize it for trash collection.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance
• Have a smartphone with a data plan
• Currently employed full-time
• Willingness to learn, receptive to coaching, and ability to follow instructions
• Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs, navigate stairs, and walk distances
• Positive attitude is a must
