Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage and Logistics is seeking a diligent Yard Driver to operate tractors in the Arcadia yards, ensuring safe movement of trailers and compliance with cold-chain protocols.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, coordinate with shipping teams, and maintain yard order while meeting deadlines. CDL is preferred and a strong safety mindset is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
• MVR required; CDL preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently or as a team.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor to reposition trailers safely and efficiently.
• Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with operations and shipping/receiving to verify deliveries and placement.
• Read and follow work orders, safety instructions and manuals.
• Transport and secure loads per cold chain requirements.
• Apply trailer security seals and connections.
• Maintain yard order and equipment cleanliness.
• Follow HACCP and safety procedures and participate in minor repairs when needed.
