Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage and Logistics is seeking a dependable Yard Driver to move single and double trailers within Arcadia yards, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure loads are secured for transport in a safe, compliant, and timely manner.

You will coordinate with shipping and receiving, follow HACCP and food-safety requirements, and support yard maintenance while adhering to deadlines and prioritizing customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• MVR required; good driving record.
• CDL preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently or as a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor to reposition trailers safely within Arcadia yards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; report deficiencies.
• Coordinate with operations, shipping and receiving to verify deliveries and position trailers.
• Read, interpret, and follow work orders and safety instructions.
• Apply knowledge of cold chain protocols when transporting and securing products.
• Secure trailers with chocks and locks; manage documentation.
• Maintain yard order and cleanliness; assist in minor repairs as needed.
