Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage in Kennedale, TX is hiring a Yard Driver to operate tractors and reposition trailers in our yard, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and coordinate with shipping/receiving to keep deliveries on schedule.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with flexible shifts including weekends if needed. CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MVR clear; CDL preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely to reposition trailers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers.
• Verify deliveries and communicate with shipping and receiving departments.
• Read, interpret, and follow work orders and safety instructions.
• Secure loads and apply trailer security measures (seals, locks).
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance and PPE compliance.
• Follow HACCP procedures and food safety requirements.
• May assist in minor repairs to tractor or trailer.
