Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage is seeking a Yard Driver to operate commercial tractors in our Arcadia yards, moving trailers safely and efficiently. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and coordinate with shipping and receiving to ensure timely deliveries. This role requires a valid MVR and a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.

CDL is preferred but not required. You will support our cold-chain operations and comply with HACCP and safety procedures while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
• MVR required; good driving record a must. CDL preferred.
• Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently or as a team.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor to reposition trailers safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Coordinate with operations to verify delivery and document transactions.
• Follow work orders, safety instructions and manuals.
• Apply knowledge of temperature-sensitive protocols when transporting.
• Maintain yard order and trailer security procedures.
• Adhere to HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Assist in minor repairs to tractor or trailer.
