Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage is seeking a Yard Driver to operate tractors and move trailers within the Arcadia yards, ensuring safety and on-time deliveries. This role requires performing routine pre- and post-trip inspections, securing loads, and documenting activities while coordinating with shipping and receiving teams.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, an acceptable driving record, and be capable of working a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MVR required; good driving record a must.
• CDL preferred.
• Basic reading, writing & arithmetic skills required.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor to reposition trailers safely within Arcadia yards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Communicate with operations and shipping/receiving to verify deliveries and documen­tation.
• Follow HACCP and food-safety requirements in daily tasks.
• Maintain yard order and cleanliness; assist in minor repairs as needed.
