Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage is seeking a Yard Driver to safely operate tractor-trailers within Arcadia yards, moving trailers to loading docks and staging areas while meeting deadlines and communicating with operations staff.

Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, securing loads, and following HACCP and safety procedures. CDL preferred; weekend shifts may be required. Join a team focused on reliability and cold-chain excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• MVR must be clean; CDL preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and solid communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations in Arcadia yards safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving to position trailers and complete paperwork.
• Read and follow work orders, safety instructions and HACCP procedures.
• Ensure loads are secured and temperature-sensitive product is handled properly.
• Maintain yard order and assist in minor repairs as needed.
