Job summary

Americold is hiring a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products across our cold chain facilities. The role involves operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks, with work in freezer and cooler environments.

Typical shift is Friday through Tuesday, 3PM–11PM, requiring at least 1 year of forklift experience. Incentives are based on performance and productivity, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using the proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check for damage and infestation, label and wrap as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners in a safety-focused manner as per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean, orderly work environment.
• May assist with inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed.
