Job summary

Americold is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and related equipment, following safety standards and production targets.

You will help maintain accurate inventory, assist with loading and unloading, and keep the workspace clean and compliant with OSHA guidelines. This role requires attention to detail and reliability for contractual shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate forklifts.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment; check for damage and infestation.
• Operate various forklifts and RF equipment in a safe manner per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed.
