Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and related equipment. The role involves efficient loading/unloading, stacking, order picking, and ensuring accuracy and safety.

You will help maintain cleanliness and meet production standards. Eligibility includes a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and related equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout the facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner to comply with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
