Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of food products using sit down/stand up forklifts and RF equipment. The role requires attention to detail, basic education, and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

You will load/unload freight, stack and store merchandise, and assist with inventory and cleaning. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 3 months of related experience where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise and pick/assemble orders for shipment; check freight for accuracy, damage and infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF equipment safely in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean, orderly work area.
• Perform duties such as inventory, cleaning and forklift battery changes as needed.
