Job summary

Johnson County Community College is seeking a part-time CoLab Support Specialist to help manage space, operate technology, and assist faculty, students, and community visitors. You will lead events, provide technical assistance, and train users in various tools within the CoLab environment.

You will coordinate schedules, greet guests, and ensure safety and security of facilities while promoting CoLab programs through social channels and signage.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to work 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, manage CoLab space, run technology, and troubleshoot issues.
• Greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors and provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ensure safety, maintenance, and security of the facility, furnishings, and equipment.
• Demonstrate technology usage in workspaces and troubleshoot issues.
• Support promotional efforts via social media, signage, and blog management.
• Stay current on tools and technology to support and train users.
• Lead projects such as LinkedIn workshops, Motion Capture, and VR programs.
• Develop and conduct informational training for professional development.
• Assist with daily schedule and event management, including unlocking rooms.
• Ensure CoLab policies and procedures are followed.
