Johnson County Community College is seeking a part-time CoLab Support Specialist to help manage space, operate technology, and assist faculty, students, and community visitors. You will lead events, provide technical assistance, and train users in various tools within the CoLab environment.
You will coordinate schedules, greet guests, and ensure safety and security of facilities while promoting CoLab programs through social channels and signage.

Starting Salary Range:$18.63-$23.84 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Provide support to the CoLab in its mission to create collaborative, experiential learning opportunities for students and faculty. Responsible for space and event management, physical scheduling, virtual scheduling, webinar support, daily facility maintenance, light technical support and superior service for faculty, staff, students, and community visitors. Demonstrate and troubleshoot technology usage in the workspaces. Learn new technologies and train faculty and students. Support promotional efforts on behalf of the CoLab through appropriate social media and signage. Lead initiatives such as Student Agency, Motion Capture, Virtual Reality, LinkedIn Workshops, speak with community groups, and other support, as needed.
This position must be self-sufficient. Employee is given latitude to make essential decisions and work with internal and external community partners. They must be able to problem solve, determine campus resources, public speaking for internal and external groups, use critical thinking skills, be innovative, and forward thinking to support the mission of the CoLab.
