Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS seeks a CoLab Space & Events Coordinator to manage space, run technology, and support faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Responsibilities include scheduling, troubleshooting, and promoting CoLab activities.
The role requires an Associates degree and at least 1 year of related experience, with a focus on customer service, training, and community engagement.

Starting Salary Range: $18.63-$23.84 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position Summary: Provide support to the CoLab in its mission to create collaborative, experiential learning opportunities for students and faculty. Responsible for space and event management, physical scheduling, virtual scheduling, webinar support, daily facility maintenance, light technical support and superior service for faculty, staff, students, and community visitors. Demonstrate and troubleshoot technology usage in the workspaces. Learn new technologies and train faculty and students. Support promotional efforts on behalf of the CoLab through appropriate social media and signage. Lead initiatives such as Student Agency, Motion Capture, Virtual Reality, LinkedIn Workshops, speak with community groups, and other support, as needed.
This position must be self-sufficient. Employee is given latitude to make essential decisions and work with internal and external community partners. They must be able to problem solve, determine campus resources, public speaking for internal and external groups, use critical thinking skills, be innovative, and forward thinking to support the mission of the CoLab.
