Job summary

Blank Street in Washington DC or Philadelphia seeks a Training Associate to elevate barista and shift lead training from onboarding through accreditation, coaching in-store, and partnering with Operations to build confident teams delivering exceptional coffee, matcha, and hospitality.

You’ll drive training improvements, lead orientations, seasonal drink trainings, and store-opening trainings while shaping future training programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years barista and training experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularty between stores across Washington, DC and Philadelphia.
• Expert in milk steaming with precise textures for lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos.
• Strong multitasking with ability to balance priorities.
• Excellent communicator, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee barista journey through new hire training program and coordinate with operations.
• Lead in-store trainings, large group trainings at the lab, and final bar assessments.
• Provide area training support including shift lead trainings and new product launches.
• Develop reporting tools to improve store performance and quality.
• Support creation and implementation of cross-functional projects for a 5-star barista experience.
