Job summary

Blank Street is hiring a Training Associate to elevate barista and shift lead training across Washington DC and Philadelphia markets. You will onboard new teammates, coach in-store, and collaborate with Operations to build confident, capable teams delivering exceptional coffee and hospitality.

You’ll lead orientations, seasonal trainings, new store openings, education on coffee and matcha, and team events, shaping Blank Street’s training program and future.

Qualifications

• 2+ years barista and training experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly between DC and Philadelphia stores.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Expert milk steaming for lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, validate, and track barista training journeys with ops partners.
• Assist in-store training, lead large group trainings at the lab, final assessments.
• Provide area training support, conduct shift lead certifications, support product launches.
• Develop reporting to help field leaders improve store performance.
• Maintain deep knowledge of products/recipes to ensure quality adherence.
• Foster cross-functional relationships to create effective reporting tools.
• Build a learning culture and keep teams motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Inspire with coffee knowledge and tailor training to individuals for engagement.
