Job summary

Blank Street is hiring a Training Associate to elevate barista and shift lead training across Washington, DC and Philadelphia. This in-person role reports to the Senior Training Manager and requires travel between stores to train, coach, and certify new hires, while developing robust training content and programs.

The position emphasizes coffee knowledge, leadership, and the ability to build confident teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years barista and training experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly between stores across Washington, DC and Philadelphia.
• Expert in milk steaming with precise textures for lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos.
• Full time role (50 hours per week, 5 days a week) with flexibility including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, validate, and track each barista’s journey through the new hire training program.
• Lead in-store training, large group trainings at the lab, and final bar assessments.
• Provide area training support, including shift lead training certifications and new product launches.
• Develop reporting tools to measure store performance and drive improvements.
• Foster a learning culture and mentor Training Coordinators.
