Job summary

Blank Street is seeking a Training Associate to elevate barista and shift lead training across Washington DC and Philadelphia. In this role you’ll onboard new teammates, coach in-store, and partner with Operations to build confident, capable teams delivering exceptional coffee and hospitality.

You’ll drive improvements by outlining action plans, leading orientations, seasonal trainings, and ongoing education. This in-person role reports to the Senior Training Manager in DC/Philly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years barista and training experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly between DC stores.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Expert milk steaming for lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee barista training journey and track progress.
• Lead in-store trainings and large-group sessions at the lab.
• Support cross-store product launches and reporting initiatives.
• Develop and foster cross-functional reporting tools to improve store performance.
• Mentor and develop future Training Coordinators on your team.
