Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an Associate Director to lead enterprise revenue cycle coding operations. You will manage Epic coding functions, ensure accurate submissions, and coach staff to maintain high-quality performance across CPT, ICD, and HCPCS guidelines.

You will collaborate with clinic and hospital leadership, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while guiding a team through complex coding challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• 7 years of coding experience in a large clinic or hospital.
• 1 year of progressive leadership experience in high-volume health care.
• Proficient knowledge of ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages Epic coding functions to ensure compliant claims.
• Leads and coaches staff, conducts performance reviews.
• Oversees production coding development and process improvements.
• Educates leadership and clinicians on CPT, ICD, HCPCS guidelines.
• Ensures coding practices meet regulatory requirements.
