Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Integrity Operations coding professional for a full-time, 40-hour week. The role focuses on accurate professional and hospital coding while ensuring enterprise-wide consistency and regulatory compliance.

You will research coding requirements, develop guidance, audit quality, and partner with clinicians and education teams to improve documentation and coding accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) required.
• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and update coding guidance, standard work, and references.
• Coordinate coding quality audits and verify documentation accuracy.
• Track findings and risks; support corrective actions.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Intergrity Operations, clinicians, and education teams.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and AHIMA coding standards.
