Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Coding Analyst to support the professional coding function through data analysis, operational reporting, and workflow optimization. You will develop and maintain coding dashboards, monitor key metrics, and provide insights to support revenue cycle performance, compliance, and decision-making.

The role collaborates with coding leadership, billing teams, IT, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize workflows, vendor performance, and coding automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPC certification (AAPC) or other AAPC certification
• Minimum 5 years coding or revenue cycle experience
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Experience with Athena or similar EHR systems
• Data analytics training or certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coding performance dashboards and reports.
• Analyze coding quality, productivity, denial trends, reimbursement outcomes, and payer policy changes.
• Support workflow design, vendor performance management, and automation initiatives.
