Northwestern Medicine is seeking a HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform coding data into actionable insights that drive performance and compliance. The role links data, technology, and operational leadership to improve revenue cycle and coding quality.

The position develops dashboards and reports to identify outpatient trends, evaluate operational effectiveness, and support strategic decisions. It operates 100% remotely and partners with Coding leadership to optimize workflows and

Qualifications

Associate degree in health information management, health informatics, or related field.
3 years of data analytics experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel.
Epic and computer-assisted coding (CAC) technology experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership transforming data into insights.
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, KPIs, reports, and ad hoc analyses.
Analyze coding and revenue cycle data to identify trends and opportunities.
Translate findings into clear reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve reporting needs.
Utilize Epic, CAC, Power BI, and other tools to validate requirements and optimize performance.
Document workflows and manage IS ticket status; serve as Epic/CAC SME.
Lead reporting and improvement initiatives with project management practices.
