Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Team Leader, Coordination of Benefits (COB) to guide departmental staff, oversee workloads, and advance operational goals. You will coach performance, support employee development, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

In this hybrid role, you’ll mentor frontline staff, handle escalations, and ensure compliance while promoting member and customer satisfaction in a collaborative environment across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• 5+ years of related field experience preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workload to achieve business objectives and guide team.
• Act as a resource for team processes and procedures.
• Foster a positive, accountable, collaborative culture.
• Serve as primary contact for operational updates and escalations.
• Ensure training, respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set and monitor goals.
• Identify and address system/process gaps and root causes.
