Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Team Leader for Coordination of Benefits to guide the COB team, coordinate workloads, and drive operational goals while ensuring compliant, high-quality member and client service.

You will coach staff, analyze trends, and partner with cross‑functional teams to address system gaps and improve processes in a Hybrid Flex workplace that supports remote and in‑person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; or 7+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years of related field experience; in lieu of degree, 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workload to achieve business objectives and lead the team.
• Provide guidance on work processes and procedures.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Serve as the primary contact for operational updates and escalations.
• Ensure staff are trained and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Provide ongoing coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance goals.
• Identify and address system or process gaps with cross-functional partners.
• Identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Review audits and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
