Job summary

First Solar in Trinity, AL is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to initiate the coating stage of the manufacturing process for photovoltaic modules. You will safely operate assigned equipment, manage materials, and perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure quality and throughput.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (an Associate degree or technical certificate is preferred) and about 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Internal candidates need 60 credits in manufacturing-related training or equivalent.
• Must maintain safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity levels.
• Completes required training within the given timeframe.
• Performs maintenance on equipment with hand tools and instrumentation.
• Monitors process data and SPC, escalating issues when needed.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to run approved tests and solve problems.
• Conducts on-the-job training for teammates when certified.
