Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to initiate the semiconductor coating process and safely operate the manufacturing line. You will manage materials, run equipment, and perform basic quality checks to ensure high-quality PV modules at the required rate.

You will also conduct preventative maintenance, address intermediate alarms, and assist in training teammates who are certified in related tasks. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• Internal candidates: 60 credits of internal manufacturing-related training.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains clean work area.
• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Completes required training within the set timeframe.
• Provides on-the-job training to teammates when requested.
• Performs maintenance on equipment using hand tools and instrumentation.
• Operates forklift and crane with proper training (when required).
• Monitors process data and alarms, and escalates as needed.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on problem solving.
• Ensures inventory and waste disposal are managed properly.
