Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Coater Technician I in Louisiana.

This role begins the manufacturing process through coating of photovoltaic modules, operating specialized equipment, and managing materials to ensure high quality output at the required rate. Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, 2+ years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to perform basic maintenance with hand tools, plus familiarity with SPC concepts and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for External candidates.
• Preference for Associate degree or technical certificate.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains good housekeeping.
• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality/productivity goals.
• Completes training within the required timeframe.
• Provides on-the-job training to team members when requested.
• Performs maintenance on equipment using hand tools/instrumentation.
• Operates forklift and crane with proper training/certification when needed.
