The role emphasizes process ownership, daily coaching, and collaboration with the Coating Manager to optimize operations. A BS in Engineering, strong communication, writing, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate groups in an employee involvement environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent writing skills for reports, presentations, policies, procedures, and specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and development for coating supervisors.
• Oversee staffing, training, and development for shift leadership.
• Lead technician development and operator-driven processes.
• Develop operator assessments and competency evaluations.
• Conduct hourly technician engagement interviews.
• Plan, facilitate and lead supervisor meetings.
• Ensure compliance with policies and labor agreements.
• Develop and manage coating backup supervisors.
• Assist with startups, training and auditing supervisors.
