Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol in Walnut Creek or Oakland is seeking a Structural Intern. This entry-level, temporary position supports project teams in engineering, planning, CAD/BIM, or science, producing basic drawings, models and calculations under direct supervision.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, entering the final year after summer, with a Master’s degree preferred and EIT certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
• Must be entering the final year of a qualified Bachelor's degree program following the summer of employment.
• A Master's degree student is preferred.
• Must have working towards, or already have (preferred), an EIT certification.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and design support for waterfront structures under supervision.
• Assist in development of plans, calculations, and reports.
• Perform field investigations or inspections as needed and participate in design coordination.
