Job summary

HDR is seeking a Coastal & Navigable Waterways Practice Leader to oversee federal feasibility studies and coordinate with USACE and sponsors. You will manage staff, deliver complex navigational and environmental analyses, and drive client relationships across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional registration preferred (PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10+ years design/management experience in coastal engineering or planning.
  • Knowledge of USACE permitting, marine regulations, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coastal and navigable waterways studies and manage staff.
  • Deliver complex navigational, economic, and environmental analyses.
  • Develop client relationships with sponsors and agencies.
  • Coordinate with area leaders and pursue market opportunities.
  • Represent HDR in professional organizations and communities.
