Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Co-Store Director to partner with the Store Director, guiding the full store team and daily operations. You will ensure a high-quality guest and team member experience while upholding brand standards and local guest needs across departments.

This leadership role requires strong financial acumen, strategic staffing, and collaboration with department managers to optimize ordering, scheduling, and performance, fostering community presence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, hospitality, or related field.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen to achieve sales, margin, labor, and operations goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team and daily operations to deliver a high-quality guest experience.
• Oversee departments (Produce, Floral, Meat, Bakery, Deli, CMS) ensuring standards.
• Manage sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory, and shrink.
• Partner with managers on ordering, scheduling, and workload planning.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
