The Fresh Market in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Store Director to lead 70-100 team members and drive sales and guest experience. You’ll set the tone, guide culture, and ensure excellence, accountability, and hospitality every day.

You’ll partner with leaders across departments to deliver superior financial results while maintaining a warm, personal environment for guests and a strong connection to the local community.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or business.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen with success in sales, margins and labor goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Build a strong talent pipeline by recruiting, developing, and retaining leaders and team members.
• Set clear expectations and coach leaders with regular feedback.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, market share, and guest loyalty.
• Use data (P&L, KPIs, labor forecasts, guest feedback) to identify opportunities and actions.
• Ensure labor planning, cost control, and operational efficiency for profitability.
• Model high standards for food safety, sanitation, risk management and compliance.
• Lead store readiness for audits and follow up with accountability.
• Represent the store and deliver warm hospitality to every guest.
• Coach teams on guest recovery and proactive service to build loyalty.
• Engage with local organizations and community partners.
