Job summary

Vertex in Boston offers a six-month co-op focused on Performance Excellence and Business Transformation. You will map processes, prototype AI-enabled solutions, and develop dashboards while collaborating with GCO teams.

The program is full-time, paid, and designed for students pursuing an advanced degree. Applicants must be enrolled in an advanced degree program and available January–July 2027; Git-like tooling and low-code platforms are part of daily work.

Qualifications

Pursuing an advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Business Analytics, Health Informatics, Data Science, Operations Research).
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate vague problems into defined processes.
Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, or value stream mapping.
Familiarity with AI technologies and automation concepts.
Hands-on use of low-code/no-code or business productivity platforms (Copilot, Power Platform).

Responsibilities

Develop process maps and workflows for high-priority GCO processes.
Analyze manual clinical operations to design future-state workflows with automation.
Build proof-of-concept agents using low-code/no-code platforms.
Create analyses, reports, and executive presentations communicating value.
Develop dashboards to track adoption, efficiency gains, and ROI for AI initiatives.
Document platform requirements, data flows, and governance needs.
Draft operating processes and training materials; support platform administration.
Identify enhancement opportunities and gather stakeholder feedback for deployment.
