Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation seeks a Co-Occurring Professional to provide group therapy and individual counseling for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions within a residential, 24/7 milieu-based setting.

The role integrates mental health treatment with addiction recovery in a 12 Step, abstinence-based model, supervising interns when needed and coordinating care across the treatment team to support stabilization and long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in behavioral health from an accredited program.
• License to independently practice mental health and SUD services in Minnesota (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW).
• Rule 31 training required in Minnesota.
• CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical services including group therapy and individual counseling for co-occurring disorders.
• Deliver residential, milieu-based treatment in a 24/7 therapeutic setting with high-frequency client engagement.
• Participate as a multidisciplinary team member providing assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, crisis intervention and care planning.
• Provide clinical supervision to students and interns and assume leadership in the absence of the program manager.
