Job summary

The Co-Occurring Professional at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation provides advanced clinical services in coordination with the treatment team, delivering group therapy and individual counseling for co-occurring disorders within a 12 Step, abstinence-based model. They participate on a multidisciplinary team, offering assessment, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing care planning.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in behavioral health
• License to independently practice mental health and SUD services in state (MN: LPCC, LMFT, LICSW)
• MN: Must be trained in Rule 31
• Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days (fully remote work employees exempt)
• Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check
• Individual National Provider Identification (NPI) number
• Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of providing therapy in a mental health/chemical dependency treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical services in coordination with the treatment team.
• Lead the clinic in the absence of the program manager and supervise students/interns.
• Provide substance use and mental health treatment to patients per standards of care.
• Represent Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation services to various audiences to ensure knowledge of services and processes.
• Communicate patient information to internal and external resources following policy and privacy regulations.
