Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a Co-Manager to oversee daily store operations as Manager On Duty. You will drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team with a strong focus on merchandising and standards.

In this role you will collaborate with the management team, train staff, and uphold company policies while maintaining stock levels and store appearance. This full-time position requires flexibility for varied shifts and openings.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations as Manager On Duty with the management team.
• Maximize profits and customer service while following policies.
• Maintain security and cash handling procedures.
• Ensure merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
• Coach and develop Associates and Leads.
• Communicate with staff through daily briefings and meetings.
• Audit buyback and manage bank deposits as needed.
• Collaborate with General Manager on performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
