Job summary

Aerotek is currently seeking skilled CNC operators and machinists for a contract role in San Diego, CA. You will operate CNC Haas Mills, Robo drills, and Fanuc controls, perform changeovers, set up 3-axis machines, and verify programs and fixtures to ensure high-quality production.

The position is onsite with multiple shifts available, offering competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility for a temporary role in a manufacturing environment that emphasizes safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC mill and vertical milling machine operation.
• Knowledge of Haas Mills and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to perform inspection and dimensional inspections using calipers and depth gauges.
• Reading and writing at a level sufficient to follow instructions and complete paperwork.
• Proficiency in CNC setup and 3-axis machine operations.
• Basic math skills and understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Haas Mills, Robo drills, and Fanuc controls.
• Conduct machine changeovers and set up 3-axis CNC machines.
• Ensure correct program execution for production runs.
• Insert and adjust fixtures and perform tool touch-offs.
• Load parts and bolt down fixtures with a wrench.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
