Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced CNC Operator II for our Seattle, WA facility. You will set up, edit and operate CNC mills and lathes, reading blueprints to produce tight tolerance parts on a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12 years of experience as CNC machinist with mills/lathe.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes independently.
• Read blueprints and drawings to plan machining.
• Machining aerospace-grade materials such as aluminum, titanium, Inconel.
• Mentor CNC operators or machinists.

Responsibilities

• Set up, edit, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan operations.
• Machine parts to tight tolerances and inspect with calipers and gauges.
• Select tooling and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Perform multiple setups per day to support schedules.
• Inspect in-process and final parts for conformance.
• Adjust machines to maintain quality and throughput.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
• Replace worn tooling and maintain equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow shop procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement and mentor others.
• Support training of less experienced operators.
