Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machinist / CNC Mill Operator for an aerospace machine shop in Long Beach, CA. This contract-to-hire role involves set up and operation of Makino CNC mills up to the 3rd axis using Fanuc controls and G-code programming to produce high-precision titanium and aluminum parts.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.00–$35.00/hr with full onsite work and strong job security through 2027 contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills in aerospace/auto environments.
• Experience with titanium/aluminum machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Makino) up to 3rd axis.
• Machining aerospace-grade titanium and aluminum components.
• Use Fanuc controls to run programs and adjust parameters.
• Read and interpret G-code and make minor edits.
• Inspect parts with micrometers/calipers for dimensional accuracy.
• Ensure safety and maintain clean work area.
• Collaborate with team to improve production efficiency.
