Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Setup and Operator in Blaine, MN. You will set up and operate Haas CNC vertical mills to produce complex parts from blueprints and specs, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality.

Responsibilities include selecting tooling, setting offsets, reading drawings, editing G-code, and performing inspections with precision instruments. The role requires collaboration with engineering and quality teams and offers a permanent onsite position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills.
• Proficiency with CNC setup, tooling, work offsets, and machine setup.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of G-code and ability to edit at the machine.
• Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software for program adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills for short- to medium-run production.
• Select tooling, set work offsets, and perform complete machine setups.
• Read blueprints and specs to ensure accurate parts manufacturing.
• Use Mastercam and G-code to modify programs and optimize processes.
• Perform first article inspections and adjust programs, tooling, and offsets as needed.
• Inspect finished and in-process parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on CNC mills.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Programming to resolve discrepancies.
