Job summary

ASML Wilton Factory Optics Fabrication is seeking a CNC Generating Technician to operate 3/5-axis optical CNC centers, set up tools, and produce high-precision components for ASML products. This night shift (6:00pm-6:00am) requires collaboration and strict adherence to specifications.

You will program CNC controls, read blueprints, measure parts, and document shift handoffs while maintaining safety in a clean room.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School graduate or GED required.
• Associate degree in machining preferred.
• 6+ months experience with CNC machines used in optical fabrication.
• Familiar with measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, MS Office & SAP.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3/5-axis CNC optical machining centers.
• Assemble cutting tools into tool-holders and position them in spindles or magazines.
• Manually program CNC controllers or load CAM programs (Mastercam).
• Adjust tool changes and offsets to keep parts in spec and compensate for wear.
• Read ISO blueprints and convert them into part programs.
• Measure workpieces for conformance to specifications.
• Verify settings by measuring parts before and after changes.
• Document actions and communicate needs across shifts.
• Follow safety procedures and notify supervisors of discrepancies.
• Communicate with operators, management and engineers.
