Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or vocational certification is preferable.
• Experience with measurement equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and own optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormal characteristics.
• Maintain 5S standards in the work area.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report quality concerns.
• Support area and factory schedule execution.
• Collaborate with production engineering and manufacturing management to improve efficiency.
• Learn and tackle progressively challenging products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and cycle time.
• Inspect and map glass surfaces to document defects.
• Clean optical surfaces from contaminants.
• Record time and attendance accurately.
• Assist with training new and existing employees.
