Job summary

ASML in Wilton, CT is seeking a CNC Generating Technician to operate 3/5-axis CNC optical machining centers in a clean room environment. You’ll assemble tools, load CAM programs, and translate blueprints into precise part programs while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational training completed.
• Associate degree in machining preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Intermediate math including geometry and trig.
• Experience with CNC machines and optical fabrication.
• Familiarity with measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3/5-axis CNC optical machining centers.
• Assemble tool-holders and position in spindles or magazines.
• Manually program CNC or load CAM programs (e.g., Mastercam).
• Set up tools and workpieces via CNC operation.
• Make tool changes and offsets to stay in spec.
• Follow written English work instructions and specs.
• Read ISO blueprints and apply to programs.
• Measure and verify workpiece conformance.
• Verify settings by measuring parts before/after changes.
• Maintain shift continuity through documentation.
• Maintain safe operations and report discrepancies.
• Communicate with operators, management and engineers.
• Prioritize and meet deadlines; manage changing priorities.
• Translate requirements into executable schedules.
