ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. seeks a Weekend CNC Operator/Machinist in North Mankato, MN. You will operate CNC and manual equipment to produce parts per specifications, while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

The role includes interpreting blueprints, inspecting parts, and making necessary tool changes. Weekend schedule is Friday–Sunday, 5:30 am–6 pm, with a $1.50 shift differential and paid for 40 hours when working 36.

Qualifications

• Machinist qualification or 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds regularly.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more machining centers, turning centers, or hand operation centers as per instructions.
• Read and use inspection equipment to ensure quality.
• Monitor quality per ISO work instructions and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform tool changes and adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Pack parts properly to prevent damage and complete daily equipment inspection.

The ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. team designs and manufactures hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems for off‑highway machines.

As a member of the Machine Shop Team, the CNC Operator/Machinist will be responsible to produce parts for use in saleable product by successfully operating one or more machining centers, turning centers, or hand operation centers, all while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

What you can look forward to as the Weekedn CNC Operator/Machinist:

• Interpret blueprint and job specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate equipment per written instructions.
• Read and operate inspection equipment to ensure production of a quality product.
• Monitor quality per ISO work instructions.
• Perform adjustments and tool changes as required to maintain part quality.
• Pack parts properly to prevent damage.
• Perform necessary daily equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Complete daily cycle counting in accordance with established procedures.

Your Profile as the Weekend CNC Operator/Machinist:

• Machinist Technical Degree/Certification; or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds regularly.
• Ability to operate a computer and other electronic equipment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively communicate with others within the organization.
• Experience with ERP Systems and Microsoft Suite, desired.

The expected base compensation for this role is $24.15 - $34.00 per hour. Additional shift differential of $1.50 for working the weekend hours - plus, work 36 and get paid for 40! Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
