Job summary
ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. in North Mankato is looking for a Weekend Assembler to join our assembly team. You will fasten parts, read engineering prints, and test sub-assemblies, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
The role offers a 36-hour workweek paid as 40 hours, Friday–Sunday 5:30 am–6 pm, with a $1.50-per-hour weekend differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this full-time position. Must lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Must lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs regularly.
- Able to read and understand simple English instructions.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office is desirable.
- Able to operate a computer and other electronic equipment.
- Able to perform basic arithmetic with measurements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts per print; fasten with bolts, screws, or clips.
- Use routing sheets, fixtures, and test benches during assembly.
- Test assembled products and sub-assemblies per specifications.
- Identify discrepancies in parts or documentation.
- Package and move products to the backflushing area.

The ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. team designs and manufactures hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems for off-highway machines. As a member of the Assembly Team, the Assembler will be responsible to assembling and testing a variety of company products, all while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.
- Uses engineering prints/drawings, routing sheets, settings specifications, required hand tools and fixtures, and test benches to assist in assembly operation.
- Demonstrates ability to detect discrepancies about parts or documentation.
- Assembles parts per print; then packages and moves the products to the backflushing area.
- Set up and tests assembled products and sub-assemblies per specifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds regularly.
- Ability to operate a computer and other electronic equipment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively communicate with others within the organization.
- Experience with ERP Systems and Microsoft Suite, desired.
