Job summary

FANUC America Corporation in Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to provide on-site troubleshooting and maintenance for CNC and related equipment across the Midwest. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with supervisors while traveling to customer sites.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong diagnostic and communication skills, and the ability to travel 80–90% with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with relays, circuit breakers, sensors, motors.
• Must be able to carry tools/equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing tech environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel 80%–90% to customer sites.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for CNCs, servo, spindle drive and motor products.
• Travel to customer sites and perform on-site repair and maintenance.
• Identify issues, report quality problems to supervisor.
• Maintain and transport tools, parts, and paperwork.
• Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
